MUSIC (MIDI) VOLUNTEERS WANTED
Be part of a highly creative arts centre supporting those experiencing mental illness in Hackney. We provide a learning environment for our members to express themselves creatively, where our volunteers and tutors offer pathways for progression. We are seeking Music volunteers with expertise in logic and a background in adult education/ training for 3hrs per shift per week or 10am-5pm one day per week. We are open from Tuesday-Friday.

Key responsibilities: To support members in the MIDI suite on a one-one basis and/or in the ICT room, helping them access Logic and learn the skills to produce and write their own music.

To respond flexibly to the members needs and help them achieve their creative music potential at Core by using the resources available.

Experience/skills required: An ability to work creatively and flexibly with vulnerable people

Good communication skills and a friendly approachable manner
essential. Experience of working with adult mental health service users would be useful.

VOLUNTEER EXCHANGE SCHEME
Be part of a highly creative centre for the arts supporting those experiencing mental illness in Hackney. Volunteer at our Front of House for 2 shifts (lasting 2/2.5 hrs per shift) and you will have open access to 1 class at the centre in return each week*.
As a F.O.H. volunteer you must be a friendly and welcoming face to visitors. You will be expected to be punctual and undertake any admin duties when required. Full training is given and there is a degree of flexibility in scheduling shifts. In return you have access to wide range of classes: pottery, life drawing, guitar/drum/singing lessons, poetry and creative writing etc.
