Membership Criteria

To become a member of Core Arts you must have an interest in developing your creative potential, and in addition:
• at least one recent hospital admission
• current contact with Mental Health Services
• a CPA (Care Plan Approach) supported by either a social worker, keyworker, care co-ordinator or CPN

We particularly strive to meet the needs of those who may have limited access to other means of support due to layers of discrimination faced in terms of class, financial resources and cultural differences. However, we do not have the resources to accept referrals for people with a serious history of unprovoked violence.

How to Apply for Membership

Potential members who fulfil the membership criteria can either refer themselves to Core Arts or be referred via other services.

Please note that all our basic/beginner level music groups are now full. We are currently only able to offer places in our music department to those at an intermediate level or above until the end of the spring term. Please contact the membership coordinator on 020 8533 3500 should you have any questions.

LONDON BOROUGH OF HACKNEY
If you are supported by the Hackney Mental Health Services and would like to join Core Arts, click here to download an application pack and contact us to arrange an introductory visit to the centre.
We prefer that potential members know something about what we offer, so please explore our website and discuss it with your keyworker. We can forward more information or answer any enquiries if you need it.
When you have completed a membership application form, we will process your application and contact you to arrange enrolment. You will then be given a welcome pack to help you make the most of the facilities at Core Arts.

OUT OF BOROUGH
We only have funding for those supported by the Hackney Mental Health Services; however we welcome people living in other London Boroughs. If you live outside of Hackney you are still able to join if we can arrange for fees to be paid by someone responsible for your care.
