COURSE OUTLINE
Group session covering various aspects of musical performance including:
• instrumentation
• learning lyrics
• dynamics, rhythm, tempo and timing
• aural awareness of other musicians
• vocal harmony / microphone technique
• positive practice and preparation
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
• To discover, maximise and affirm the potential of each member to create and perform music for future core arts gigs.
• To enable members to practice effectively.
• To enable members to realise their musical potential through the playing of a musical instrument maybe that they haven’t played before or using their voice.
• To create and build on original material through jam sessions.
• To interpret pre-recorded songs in an original way by playing them in a different style or adding different instruments.
• To work on aspects of performance that members feel less confident about.
• To develop confidence through rehearsing pieces several times correctly, so reinforcing a member’s self-awareness of having succeeded.
• To enable members to perform with confidence in their abilities at future Core gigs.
