Myspace Personal Projects

COURSE OUTLINE
Group session covering the fundamentals of MySpace
These workshops offer learners the opportunity to develop their work, upload it onto MySpace and self promote their material

AIMS & OBJECTIVES
Educational: learn basic internet practice to further develop the students knowledge of MySpace and working with basic digital media
Artistic: to develop the student’s skills in creating a vibrant platform on which their work can be displayed, viewed and updated.
Social: to form and maintain relationships with other artists

SESSION OUTLINE
Students are encouraged to digitize their recorded work, learn basic computer login procedures and upload their work onto MySpace.

OUTCOMES
• Increased familiarity with basic internet operation
• The ability to upload work onto a user based platform
• A chance to freely promote and manage work in a digital medium
• Increased social networking and performance opportunities

SOME PROGRESSION ROUTES
• To promote work to a larger web audience
• To set up possible downloads based on feedback
• To act on relationships formed, working with other artists and realizing performances
