Foundation Art             

Venue: Art Studio
Time: 2:00pm – 5:00pm every Wednesday
Tutor: Massimo Nuzzolo

OUTLINE
Group session introducing members to a range of art techniques including drawing, painting and 3-D work. 

AIMS
Educational: To learn the basic elements of art, including using a range of media and techniques.
Artistic/creative: To learn to express oneself through visual art.
Technical: To gain and develop skills in producing visual art.
Social/personal: To work on one’s own art work in a supportive and encouraging group. To develop confidence in creative abilities.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of the course, learners will have:
• Developed their confidence in creating visual artwork
• An improved understanding of how to use the Core Arts studio

PROGRESSION ROUTES  
• Other art sessions at Core Arts, including Life Drawing, Printmaking and Pottery & ceramics
• Individual use of Core Arts’ Art Studio
• Further study at a further education college
